Science Victory
Science Victory
The Science Victory is achieved by the first player to establish a colony on an extrasolar planet. The player must complete a series of increasingly difficult projects, culminating in the Exoplanet Expedition Project.

First, players must complete the Earth Satellite project in a city with a Spaceport District. Next, they must complete the Moon Landing project, then the Mars Colony project.

The final stage in the Science Victory is the Exoplanet Expedition. Once this project completes, the player gains points each turn towards the Science Victory. The threshold for victory varies depending on game speed. A player can accelerate the number of points they gain per turn by completing additional projects. The Lagrange Laser Station and the Terrestrial Laser Station both provide additional points each turn towards the threshold. If a player was the winner of the International Space Station project in the World Congress, then they will also get points each turn towards the Science Victory.

Once the Exoplanet Expedition has been launched, the only way to prevent a player from achieving a Science Victory is to win another kind of Victory first, or conquer that player.

TEAM SCIENCE VICTORY

To win a Team Science Victory, an individual team member needs to complete the standard Science Victory requirements. Requirement completion is not shared. Teammates are encouraged to cooperate towards a Team Science Victory using Team Shared Research. See the Teams page.

Science fiction for now, perhaps – but now you can be the first to send your people to Mars. After researching Robotics, Nuclear Fission, and Nanotechnology, you may build the Reactor, Habitation, and Hydroponics module projects in any city with a Spaceport. Note that more than one Spaceport means parallel production!

Once every piece is launched, you have won the game.
