Gunnery Deployment Rig locomotion algorithms (sometimes called "walk cycles") and locomotor feedback systems are constantly undergoing evolution. Early models relied on massively parallel brute-force calculation based on sensor networks embedded in the system, but these turned out to be relatively fragile when confronted with unusual or unexpected terrain changes.
