National Parks
National Parks
Designating National Parks can greatly enhance Tourism and Amenities. National Parks are designated by Naturalist units, which may be purchased in your city with Faith after researching the Conservation civic.

National Parks can be built on a cluster of any four tiles that meet the following requirements:

1. The tiles must be natural wonders, mountains, or a tile with an Appeal of Charming or better.
2. All four of the tiles must be owned by the same city.
3. The tiles must be contiguous and form a vertical diamond shape.
4. No tile can have an improvement or district.

You can select a Naturalist to reveal any valid locations on the map. Sending the Naturalist to any highlighted tile will reveal the Designate National Park action button. Clicking on this button designates the National Park and consumes the Naturalist.

A National Park's Tourism output is equal to the total Appeal of all the tiles included in the park. Additionally, the city that owns the park receives 2 Amenities, and the four closest cities in your civilization receive 1 Amenity.
