Diplomatic Victory
Diplomatic Victory
The Diplomatic Victory is awarded to the Civilization that masters the World Congress, gaining reputation as a reliable friend, a defender of the greater good, and an outstanding negotiator. Wield the Diplomatic Favor you have earned through your mutually-beneficial playstyle to accumulate Diplomatic Victory Points until you have reached the threshold to be named victor.

When World Congress meets, players who manage to pass their agendas will gain Diplomatic Victory Points. Team up with other players to vote for a winning target/option combo, or spend your Diplomatic Favor to strong-arm Congress into seeing things your way, and you'll receive a Diplomatic Victory Point each time your selected option and target is the one to pass.

As the World Congress progresses, eventually a Diplomatic Victory Resolution will appear in the mix of resolutions for voting. The resolution will propose awarding Diplomatic Victory Points to or removing Diplomatic Victory Points from a specific civilization. Use your Diplomatic Favor to vote yourself or an ally closer to victory, or use the other effect to slow down your enemies.

Players can also earn Diplomatic Victory Points through participation in Scored Competitions. Generate the highest score in Scored Competitions to receive Diplomatic Victory Points as part of your reward.

Additionally, players can earn Diplomatic Victory points by completing the Seasteads Tech, the Global Warming Mitigation Civic, or the Statue of Liberty, Mahabodhi Temple, and Potala Palace Wonders.

Once a single civilization receives enough Diplomatic Victory points, they immediately win a Diplomatic Victory.

TEAM DIPLOMATIC VICTORY

A team wins a Diplomatic Victory when one of the players has enough Diplomatic Victory Points to win the game. A team does not combine their Diplomatic Victory points. When playing as a team, it may benefit you to choose one team member to pursue the victory, and for the remaining members of the team to vote for that player in all Diplomatic Victory Resolutions.
