Consumable Resources
Consumable Resources
Strategic Resources are now extracted from the world and will accumulate in a civilization's stockpile. These resources are divided into two categories: Fuel and Material. Fuel resources are burned automatically to meet the Power needs of your cities. Buildings in your cities that require Power will provide bonuses if powered.

Material and Fuel resources are also required for production and maintenance of many military units. If Fuel or Material needs are deficient, those units will be less effective in combat.

Consumable resources are denoted on the map by nodes icons that indicate which resource is on that tile. Not all resources will be visible to you at the start of the game - as eras go by, you advance technologically and reveal later resources. Consumable Resources can be bartered with as a lump sum.

Fuel Resources:
Coal
Oil
Uranium

Material Resources:
Horses
Iron
Niter
Aluminum
